1. What do I need to become an affiliate?
Joining the Gamers-Guide-Book Affiliate program is Free to join, but there are a few things that you will need before you sign up!
-ClickBank Account-
You will need to sign up for a FREE ClickBank account. Once you are signed up you will receive a referral ID, this is used to rebrand your Automated Website so that everytime someone buys a product from your Automated Website you will recieve the commission.
-PayPal Account-
Signing up for a PayPal Account is FREE and only takes a miniute. This is how we pay all of the commissions that you will earn as an affiliate of ours. Make sure when you sign up for an account that you use the same email address that you are going to use to sign up for the Gamers Guide Book Affiliate program.
-Domain Name-
You will be required to purchase your own domain name for your Automated Website. This usually ranges in price from $10 to $15 for one year. For ease of set up I would recommend purchasing your domain name through HostGator.
-Website Hosting-
You will be required to purchase 1 year of HostGator website hosting for your Automated Website. I require all affiliates to purchase HostGator's 1 year baby plan through Gamers Guide Books HostGator link. I know a lot of people will want to email me asking if they can use their own website hosting, but there are several reasons why the GamersGuideBook affiliate program has to be purchased through our HostGator link.
1. For ease of set up, we require all affiliates to have the same hosting plan, because every hosting company has their own way of doing things and it would take too much time and money to try and figure out how to set the automated website at a different company each time.
2. We require new hosting with HostGator even if you already have hosting through HostGator for liability reasons. If we were to install the automated website on a hosting account that you already had several websites set up on and something was to happen and there was a loss of data GamersGuideBook.com would not want to have to accept the monetary responsibility for this.
3.The 1 year of HostGator's baby plan also shows that you are committed to seriously trying to earn through this program
4.As a disclaimer GamersGuideBook.com is a compensated affiliate of HostGator. Setting up and Running an affiliate program is expensive and this is how we pay the bills, pay your affiliate commissions, pay all costs associated with the program, and are able to keep the automated website updated and FREE.
2. How do I know I will be paid for my referral?
The Gamers Guide Book affiliate program is powered by Post Affiliate Pro, the leading affiliate tracking software that is used by thousands of Internet merchants and affiliates world-wide.
Post Affiliate Pro uses combination of cookies and IP address to track referrals for best possible reliability.
When the visitor follows your affiliate link to our site, our affiliate system registers this referral and places a cookie on his or her computer.
When the visitor signs up for the program, the affiliate system will check for a cookie (if nothing is found, it will then check for an IP address of referral) and then credit your account for the referal.
This process is absolutely automatic, and all your referrals will be properly tracked.
3. How is affiliate payment handled?
All affiliates are paid through PayPal. We do not support regular checks at the moment.
All payments are issues in US dollars, and are paid once a month, always on the 1st. Payments will only be issued after the minimum $200 payout threshold has been reached.
4. How do I set up an account?
Setting up an account is very easy.
All you need to sign up for the Gamers Guide Book program is to go to the Signup Form below and fill it out. After a review from our affiliate manager, you will receive an email confirming your approval and that your automated website has been created with you own personal affiliate links.
As our affiliate, you will have your own control panel where you can see detailed statistics of traffic and sales you referred, news and training materials, and choice of banners and text links.
Then you only need to promote your affiliate links and automated website.
5. What is the affiliate link?
Affiliate link is a special URL where you should be sending the visitors. You will get the URL's for different banners
in your affiliate panel after log in.
6. Can I promote you through pay-per-click search engines?
YES! You can promote us through pay-per-click search engines. In fact, this type of promotion is
increasingly popular and we are aware of several affiliates making a very good profit promoting our program and their automated website in this way.
